Solomon Cousins Reunion - 100 years plus

We are documenting our family tree and
commemorating more than

100 years since Sarah (Chaisora) Solomon Atkins, eldest child of Shlomo and Anna (Chana) Posner Solomon
arrived in Canada in 1905.

      Sarah (Chaisora) Solomon Atkins was born in Russia in 1874, the eldest of eight siblings, 3 brothers and 5 sisters. She married Hershel Leib (Henry) Atkins in 1896. She was about 30 years old when she left Russia with four children and traveled to Canada to reunite with her husband.
      Hershel Leib (Henry) Atkins had emigrated to Canada previously, and after working for approximately a year, was able to send for her and their four children.

October 9th fell on the Sunday between Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur this year, during Thanksgiving weekend in Canada (which is also Columbus Day in the U.S.).

Kay Rogow Davis (daughter of Mary Solomon Rogow) with her daughter, Sharon Levy-Cohen and niece Robin Roger Klotz.(April 2005) Robin is holding a photo of Kay as a young child when she was adjudicated the "most beautiful" child in Ontario. We think she still is!

Shlomo and Anna (Chana) Posner Solomon had eight children, five daughters and three sons, each of whom married and had children, grandchildren and many descendants. We've located a number of the living grandchildren, first cousins ranging in age from the youngest (Dr. Marvin Lipton) at 70 to the eldest (Abie Solomon), who, with the blessing of Heaven, celebrated his 90th birthday in November 2005!

We have made initial contact with descendants of each of the eight siblings. We know that there are many others and we need your help to locate and reach out to them.

The gravestone dates indicate that Isaac (Itzik) Rogow (married to Sara Etta Atkins) was born in 1862! His children Benjamin (Benny) and Dora married siblings, Mary Solomon and Harry Solomon. His grandson Abie Solomon's 90th birthday was a great celebration!

So these are Shlomo and Anna (Chana) Posner Solomon's children, and their spouses. From whom are you descended and where do you fit on the family tree?

share the same linear and collateral relatives!)

Bertha (Solomon) Persky married to Joe Persky;
Eva (Solomon) Lipton married to Harry (Aaron) Lipton (Lifshitz).
             Note: 1** Recently it was thought that we'd learned the birth surname of Rachel (Rochel), the eldest brother Joe Solomon's wife. Interestingly, one of her descendants believed it to be Rogow! And we know that she was not a sibling to Benny Rogow and Dora Rogow (the brother and sister who married the Solomon sibiings). (So....possibly a cousin?)
            However, one of her granddaughters wrote in to say that she did not think that we were correct!
           That granddaughter has suggested that Rochel's last name was Greben. And our cousin Abe Solomon recently advised that he, too, thought it might be Greben. So please note that Joe and Harry's brother Nathan Solomon's wife, Katie's birth surname was Greben! Were another set of siblings (Joe and Nathan) also doubly related to one another through marriage? Does anyone know? Please help us solve this mystery!
